Folding and unfolding can become stiff when the buggy is stained with sand and dirt after use. If you find it difficult to open and close, please do not force it. You can clean and lubricate with WD-40, spray a little on each joint and it will make a big difference.
The "Push to Brake and Push to Release" mechanism requires a regular maintenance. By each pushing of the paddle, the centre plastic sleeve turns 45 degree and sets the centre metal pin in and out, between "lock" and "release" positions. When sand or dirt gets inside, the centre plastic sleeve stops turning and malfunctions the brake. Therefore, when this happens, you can try to spray some WD-40 behind the brake to solve the problem effectively, as shown below.
A periodic tightening of the nuts and bolts of your CaddyTek buggy will improve the performance and life of your CaddyTek buggy. Replace the elastic Bag Straps and Scorecard Holder as needed. All parts are available through CaddyTek Customer Service.
The upper handle of the cart is 'locked' into place with the lower cart just above the upper bag strap. It's the same plastic piece that adjusts the angle/position of the handle. Slide this plastic piece back up the shaft (toward the ball holders), and the upper handle will release & fold down. The 2 side wheels also fold in at the same time.
Step 1: Tighten the side knob firmly
Once you have adjusted the suitable height of the handle, you should always keep the knob tightened firmly. Do not release the knob unless you need to adjust the height again.
Step 2: Push the upper bag holder to lock
Hold the handle and upper bag holder, then shake the buggy lightly. Once the wheels are on the ground, push the upper bag holder to lock. Mainly, you just need to push the upper bag holder towards the central locking mechanism, but not much force required on the handle.
Description says the handle is adjustable for 'multiple pushing positions'. Does it have a knob to turn to adjust to any position (like the ClicGear 2.0), or does it click into a set number of positions? I'm short and want to make sure the handle is adjustable to a comfortable height for me.
The multiple push position is: You can adjust the handle height by a lock and unlock a knob. The handle can be adjust to horizontal to the ground. It will fit short person well.
